The Lebaron converts are very well made in my opinion. Since the car was designed from scratch to be a convertible, it was a very solid car. I've got a rusty floor on my 89 TII GTC and am very impressed with the way the thing still handles. In fact, a friend of mine drove the car home when I bought it 8 years ago and has always loved the car. He's driven all my Shelby Dodges and that's the only one he was ever really impressed with. He owns 2-1977 Ferrari 308 GTS's and a 380 SL Mercedes convertible and has rather high standards. Even with the higher miles on my Lebaron, he still likes it. He drove it home for me when I picked up my latest 87 GLHS a couple months ago. Now I had an 89 Daytona Shelby TII with T-tops for almost 16 years. I bought the car at 3 years old with 64,000 miles on it. This car was always a loose car. When they converted those Daytonas to t-tops, they really lost a lot of strength. I never broke a windshield though. LOL
