Mike,
I thought the same thing about the belt slipping for a split second. My Shelby Chargers have all done this a different times. Even with new alternators. It's consistant with hitting the gas too. That's why I figured it was slipping. I've had a belt that felt tight and yet still slip enough to drain the battery without squeeling. Actually, this happened once, but it did happen. I've never had this problem with any other turbo Dodge. I don't know if the old style alternator requires a little more oomph to get it turning when it's trying to charge. This headlight dimming only happens when I hit the gas. I don't think the fan coming on would do it at such times consistantly.
