The light dimming and everything else dimming at full throttle is due to something a little unique to the Shelby line.  The way I heard it is the alt. is shut off and not drawing load from the eng. and everything is running off the batt. for just a couple of sec. to maximize the POWER output to the tires where it all belongs. That is another reason why if you are a hard driver you could go through a couple of batt. every couple of years.
