I used wire splices on the leads coming out of the power module on my glhs.
Those little plastic things that let you tap into a wire without cutting it.

What was a fuel problem has now turned into a charging problem. The fuel
problem was related to corrosion on several connectors. Especially the LM.
In
the process I found several loose wires that broke as soon as moderate
pressure
was applied. After spending all morning repairing and cleaning, the restart
was perfect. Everything was looking good going down the road until the amp
gauge started dropping. Hit a pretty good road seem and the gauge jumped
back
up to normal (just above middle) then it just started to drop again.
This is a fresh Alternator from the standpoint of operation. It only has
700
or so miles on it, however, it is more than 3 years old. What is the easiest
way to check the field wires to see if the Power Module is asking for a
charge?
Thanks,
Mike
