SD> Knock Sensor Detection (UPDATE)

I fixed the sputtering by moving from RN9YC's to RN11YC's. I checked the  
plugs (9's) and they were running a little too cold. Moved to the 11's and  the 
sputtering seems to be gone. I am still getting a some hint of  mechanical 
noise like a bad lifter or excessive piston slap at WOT. I cannot  tell for 
certain. However, it is my understanding that piston slap from forged  pistons 
should only be heard at idle (primarily only when cold idle). 
Can anyone confirm?
