It does at first glance seem fuel related. Check the fuel pump electrical connection at the pump for corrosion and if you have not done so recently, change the fuel filter . Chances are,the pump has reached the end of its life. When the pressure relief valve is pushed on the fuel rail,if fully pressurized, the fuel should strongly spray out. if nothing is found wrong, then the HEP can be considered. If it is the pump,i would also check the condition of the inside of the gas tank and replace as necessary.I had similar problems with the 'Baron and found it full of powdered and chunks of rust that clogged the pickup sock for the pump and also had gotten into the pump itself causing failure.

  Hi all
The 87 Shelby Lancer got towed home yesterday. It cranks and wants to start
and sometimes does start but won't keep running. When the tow truck dropped
the car, it started and I drove in my garage? Then it wouldn't start till I
tried today, then it ran for about 3 min. and died. I was thinking it was the
fuel pump when I pushed the little valve on the fuel rail the gas just dripped
out. Will the rail hold presser when the car is off? Other then that it could
be the HAL in the dist. Any help will be welcome.

Will I ever get out of the 80's?

If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.
