Hello everyone. I'm starting to build another engine and have to figure out which direction I want to go. I will be using as a street car, no racing. I want a little bit bigger cam and a couple pounds more boost. Is there ant real advantage to using the forged crank as opposed to the cast crank for this application? I hear the cast cranks are overbuilt so they should be OK for anything other than the hardest use. At what point in the performance spectrum should one consider a forged crank?

Also I have access to a 1987 GLHS head and a later head that was on a common block which had a roller cam. I hear that you can put a roller cam in a slider engine but nor the other way around. Is this true? Something to do with too much oiling or nor enuff I don't recall. Any help much appreciated, trying to figure what i need to build, don't want any surprises halfway through the build.
