SD> 1986 Laser XT 11" brake conversion

I've purchased a K member from a 90' shelby daytona with the 11" brake setup (dual pivot control arms) to covert my 86' Laser XT.  I've also purchased the master cylinder and proportioning valve to go with this setup. I've also purchased the rear disc setup from a 88' Shelby Z to convert the rear of my Laser to non-vented disc.  
   
  I have a few questions:
   
  First, which year struts and mounts should I use with this setup (I work for Advance Auto part-time and I'm seeing many different strut part numbers from 1986-1990, however, they physically look very similar)?  Can I reuse my struts and bolt them to the new knucles without affecting the suspension geometry?  Will the rack and pinion from this newer k member bolt right up to my column?
   
  Is there any tricks to this conversion that I should be aware of?
