The old sensor grounds through the threads into the turbo, exhaust manifold,
mounting studs, cylinder head and into the battery. Cleaning the threads
might help solve the problems, that or upgrade to a 3 or 4-wire oxygen
sensor (the 3 and 4 wire sensors provide a heater and better grounding for
the sensor)
If the above doesn't solve the problem, perhaps you've got a leaking
injector, bad pressure regulator or a ground issue within the wiring
harness. Have the injectors cleaned and test the fuel pressure with a gauge
while the engine is running.
A generally good idea on these cars is to periodically clean and restore all
of the grounds in the engine bay. Make sure you have a good ground wire
from the fuel rail to the intake and from the intake to the firewall and
check the strap from the passenger mount to the frame rail. Then work your
way over and check the ground on the transmission and finally all of the
grounds for the battery and power module finishing with cleaning the battery
posts and connectors.

Hi everyone.
I'm probably going to be more active on the list because I'm going to start
driving my 85 GLH. Unfortunately I'm going to sell my '04 Ram Hemi Sport due
to the $3.75 a gallon gas price where I live in cali. Maybe somebody can get
me up to speed with the new website. I tried to search the arcives for a
solution to code 52 but I couldn't seem to do a search. Does anyone know how
to search the archives. If you still can. Or better still, how do I fix it.
I have taken the new 02 sensor out and cleaned it with carb cleaner. After
clearing the fault codes from the logic module, the code comes back after
about five minutes of running. The car seems to be running fine, although I
haven't taken it for a test drive yet. It idles smoothly and the exhaust is
not black when you wind it up.
